Allow Special Skins for Armor/Weapons in PvP
We all know that we like the kewl skins that PvE characters are allowed, and PvP characters aren't (currently, the only benifit to having a PvE character in PvP). But why not allow the people who work very hard in PvP, to have those same skins? There are those of us, that love Guildwars PvP, but at the same time, hate the PvE. This means, we don't make PvE characters... for one reason or another.
This would be more fair if PvP characters could get sets such as.... 15k armor, or even FoW armor skin sets unlocked using Balthazars faction. I don't want them to make some measely amount of faction to get these. Lets say for 15k armor... how about... 15k faction per piece, and 30k for FoW per piece. It's alot, and gives something to save up our faction for. This obviously, will work together with your titles. As your Rank in Champion, Hero, and Gladiators increases, so does your Faction cap.
So, you can't be a complete n00b, and get FoW Armor on a PvP character. It would require being atleast Rank 6 and atleast 1 Gladiator/Champ title/Rank 7. Which shows that you deserve your PvP character having better than average armor.
Same thing goes for weapon skins. As I am not big into PvE, I couldn't tell you all the different types... but lets say... a Ssaki's Sword skin for 5k, or something around there, and a Pheonix Blade skin for about 20k.
Again, you won't be able to get these skins, unless you have PvP experience, and have worked on PvP titles.
Now that they screwed up my only source of making money (Farming Trolls, and Power Leveling), the PvE character I wanted for two reasons armor swapping during GvG (no longer applicable) and Awesome looking armor, are no longer available to me. In general, people who PvP enjoy it much more, than they do PvE. We make PvE characteres for the benefits of PvP, but we aren't really having fun making it. So let us unlock certain skins for PvP. That will help us out alot in the long run. And it will make PvP more enjoyable.
I hope I'm not alone here. I noticed some people liked the idea, and some people hated it.

Why dont pvp characters get to look good? Why should I have to spend time grinding forever in pve to get good looking armor leaving me little time for pvp? If they want to make it expensive to unlock thats fine but at least give us options.

You already got off easy with Maximum everything and lvl 20, don't whine about getting more crap to completely replace the PvE look aspect because you are too lazy to PvE. If you want something, WORK FOR IT.

The PvE vs. PvP argument misses the point.
PvEers PvE because they find it fun. PvPers PvP because they find it fun. There is no case of "getting off easy" because it's inappropriate to compare PvE and PvP characters - they're built for different things. It doesn't matter that a PvP characters starts at level 20 and a PvE character starts at level 1. A PvP character *can't PvE*, so there is no unfairness.
I would have been happier with GW if the PvP and PvE aspects of the game were completely separate and enclosed. PvE characters should never have received any practical advantages in PvP, such as the ability to armor-swap.
I don't particularly care whether they have vanity items for PvP characters or not, because as Knightsaber said, PvP is about functionality over vanity. But arguing that PvP characters shouldn't get it *just* to 'leave something for the PvEers' is nonsense.

Before I post, let me state very clearly that I am a PVE only player.

Why? Lots of PVP players buy special skinned weapons in the PVE towns. This drives the price of the economy up very high on special skins. If PVP players could just create their weapons with whatever skin they wanted, the price on PVE skins would decrease and more people would be able to have them.

So by then that argument pve is about vanity not functionality. They shouldnt be allowed to compete in pvp then.

Takes all the benefits of grinders away in PvE... Nothing better to pwn someone with that 1.5 mill Rt Mummy armor.
Above post completely lacks all logical statements. It doesnt matter if you wear 15k, or starter armor skin, in PvP it is all about how you use it. Banning Special skins to compete in pvp doesnt make sense... they are just as functionally as the PvP characters. EOD

I think that people with the Friend of the Luxons/Kurz titles should be able to select 1.5k armors of their allegiance, and those with Defender of the ____ and up should be able to select 15k armors of their allegiance.
Maybe some unique weapon skins for players who have Terrifying Gladiator or Terrifying Champion and above?
